Construction now underway at the Parramatta Light Rail depot

8 October 2018

Early works are underway this week at the future Parramatta Light Rail depot in Camellia.

Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance welcomed the start of project construction.

“These early works will ensure the safe and sustainable management of contamination from the site’s industrial history, which dates back to the 1930s,” Mr Constance said.

“We need to ensure the land is safe and fit for purpose before the future stabling yard takes shape, so you will see specialist teams on the ground performing this work.”
