Industry invited to register interest in Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2

The NSW Government is encouraging industry to register their interest to deliver the first phase of Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2, linking two communities with a new bridge over the Parramatta River between Wentworth Point and Melrose Park.

This will be the first significant bridge crossing over the Parramatta River since 1987.

Works will include a 320-metre-long bridge and approaches on either side of the river – totalling 1.3 kilometres. It will connect growing communities and unlock access to the Sydney Olympic Park peninsula and its world-class sporting, recreational and economic facilities.

Following this, an Expressions of Interest process will open in January 2023 for shortlisted industry partners, with construction of the Enabling Works expected to commence in 2024.
