In line with new restrictions introduced by the NSW Government on Saturday 17 July 2021, Parramatta Light Rail works will be paused until 11:59pm on Friday 30 July 2021, or as otherwise advised by NSW Health.

To comply with this directive:

  • Parramatta Light Rail has worked to make sites safe to be closed down with adequate supervision and maintenance.
  • Under the latest Public Health Order, the Public Health (COVID-19 Temporary Movement and Gathering Restrictions) Order 2021, and as detailed on the Infrastructure NSW website, urgent essential safety, security, environmental and maintenance activities are permitted.
  • Traffic controllers will be on site 24/7 to manage existing traffic arrangements to ensure driver and pedestrian safety.
  • At 6 Grand Ave, Camellia, there will be urgent works continuing for the purposes of dealing with environmental risks of the site. These works involve remediation works to cap and contain the contaminated materials onsite.

For more information, visit Infrastructure NSW: Response to COVID-19 for guidance on urgent works or visit Changed traffic conditions for existing road closures and traffic changes.
