Get ready to do something on Parramatta’s revitalised Church Street and support local businesses with our new Restaurant Guide, which is packed with more than 60 delicious dining options for you to discover and enjoy.
From authentic Italian, Greek, Asian and modern Australian cuisine to fabulous desserts, breakfast bites and some of the best coffee in town – the Restaurant Guide highlights some of the best eateries on offer in Western Sydney’s premier dining and entertainment precinct.

Ongoing activations in CBD
Activations continue along Church Street to create a vibrant atmosphere that attracts locals and visitors to eat, shop and play in Parramatta’s CBD.
Major construction on Parramatta's ‘Eat Street’ on Church Street, between Lennox Bridge and George Street, has been completed.
To celebrate the completion of major construction on the dining strip, a TfNSW activation called ‘Eat Street Uncovered’ is being delivered in stages over the coming months in a Covid safe way to bring the area to life and encourage the community to rediscover the delights of the local restaurants, cafes and bars.
Stage 1 - Lighting and decorative installations when businesses are allowed to reopen to enliven the area
Stage 2 - Entertainment and activities will be rolled out when public health orders allow
Stage 3 - Christmas activation and campaign to entice shoppers back to the Parramatta CBD

The theme for 2022 is ‘Rebuild – Recharge – Renew’, and the month will be packed with events and activities designed to inform, support, and elevate NSW small businesses to the next level. Parramatta Light Rail supports businesses during Small Business Month
Transport for NSW is actively supporting businesses along the Parramatta Light Rail through a range of free giveaways to attract local customers during NSW Small Business Month. Customers who shop along the Parramatta Light Rail alignment during March will be eligible for free local giveaways at participating businesses. Make sure you regularly check the Parramatta Light Rail Facebook page for details.
From 15 November to 19 December 2021, Transport for NSW launched the Shop and Win campaign to encourage community support for local businesses along the Parramatta Light Rail alignment.
Shoppers had the chance to win one of four $200 weekly prizes and the ultimate major prize Ambassador Lounge tickets for a Western Sydney Wanderers FC v Sydney FC match at CommBank Stadium on Saturday 5 March 2022 for 10 people valued at $3000.

Enjoy Game Day on Eat Street
From March 2021, Transport for NSW launched the Enjoy Game Day on Eat Street campaign to celebrate the return of the NRL season at Bankwest Stadium. The campaign included a restaurant guide that highlighted over 50 Parramatta businesses. Initially scheduled to end on 4 September 2021, the campaign was suspended in June 2021 due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Summer Activations in Parramatta
From December 2020 to March 2021 a series of interactive art installations were on display throughout Parramatta.
Christmas comes to Centenary Square
From November 27 2020, artist Shannon Boyd created an interactive artwork live in Centenary Square. The installation remained in place until 11 January 2021.
The Christmas ADVENTure campaign ran across November and December. Users of the Activate Parramatta app went into the draw to win daily deals and prizes.
People were encouraged to use the Shop Local Westmead guide to shop local in Westmead and take advantage of the special offers available until November 2020.
October 2020 was Small Business Month, and to celebrate all the businesses in the local community, the Parramatta Light Rail project offered exciting prizes and giveaways redeemable at Parramatta small businesses.
The Dine. Scan. Win. campaign encouraged shoppers to dine or make a purchase at a local participating business to go in the draw to win a weekly $100 voucher from a local restaurant, café or takeaway shop. The campaign ran from 24 June to 18 September 2020. Winners were drawn weekly and notified via email. Terms and conditions can be found here.
The Shop. Scan. Win. campaign encouraged shoppers to make a purchase at a local participating business in the Carlingford to Camellia corridor to go in the draw to win a weekly $100 voucher from a participating shop. The campaign ran from 5 August to 1 October 2020. Winners were drawn weekly and notified via email. Terms and conditions can be found here.
